Paul Minton Graduating Senior Award
Dr. Paul Minton was a former dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences, director of the Statistics Institute and faculty member in the Department of Statistics. In his honor, in 2002 the Department of Statistical Sciences and Operations Research created the Paul Minton Graduating Senior Award to recognize a graduating senior who has excelled academically, both inside and outside the classroom.

Excellence in Statistics and Excellence in Operations Research Awards
In 2016 the Department of Statistical Sciences and Operations Research created the Excellence in Statistics and the Excellence in Operations Research awards to recognize graduating undergraduate students with majors in mathematical sciences/statistics and mathematical sciences/operations research, respectively. Academic performance, general contributions to the department and profession, and research and community engagement contributions are all considered in choosing the winners.
